Kazakhstan intends to cooperate with Iran in mining industry
(Minews) - Iranian Minister of Industries, Mines and Trade Mohammad Reza Nematzadeh and his Kazakh counterpart Aset Isekeshev in a meeting in Tehran on Sunday underlined the need for the further expansion of trade ties in different areas, and voiced their preparedness to provide each other with all-out aid and assistance in trade, industrial and mining sectors.

Isekeshev called for cooperation with Iran in the mining, chemical, glassware and steel industries and launching production lines as well as mutual cooperation in geology and exploration fields.

The Kazakh minister pointed to the endorsement of a draft cooperation agreement between Kazakhstan and Iran in the near future, and exchanged views with Nematzadeh on receiving the assistance of Iran's private sector to increase trade and production capabilities of Kazakhstan.

Iranian and Kazakh president are slated to sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in the near future.

The MoU will comprise expansion of industrial, trade and mining interactions alongside other economic activities in the oil, petrochemical and agricultural sectors.

In recent years, Iran has striven to expand its ties and cooperation with the regional states, especially those in the Central Asia.
