Controversy over allocation of an iron ore mine in Iran
(Minews) - Granting exploitation license of an iron ore mine to wife of an government official has provoked a lot of controversy in Iran and prompted order of First Vice President for immediate investigation into it.

According to the media reports, exploitation license of one of iron ore mines in Sangan, Khorasan Razavi province was issued to wife of a government official in 2012.

Now the government protested the license granted and IMIDRO filed a complained against unnamed official. Although the court ruled in favor of him but IMIDRO still insists in its complain and calls the action illegal.

Under reformed law of mines, workers of Mine, Industry and Trade Ministry and affiliated organizations haven't right to involve in mining activities.
