(Minews) - Industrial tools manufacturer CITC USA Inc is suing Russian aluminium producer United Co Rusal (UC Rusal) and its subsidiaries for allegedly failing to pay $450,000 for parts.

According to a complaint filed in the US District Court in Illinois, Guinea-based Rusal Friguia, a wholly-owned subsidiary of UC Rusal, entered into a series of agreements between November 2010 and June 2011 to purchase parts from CITC.

Colorado Springs, Colorado-based CITC said it delivered the parts between September 2011 and March 2012, but Rusal Friguia “failed and refused to pay” the agreed amount of $396,800.

CITC has made a similar claim against Jamaica-based aluminium producer West Indies Alumina Co. (WIAC), a wholly-owned subsidiary of UC Rusal, alleging that WIAC failed to pay $51,200 for parts delivered between January 2013 and February 2014.

UC Rusal could not be reached for comment.
