Iran's crude steel production increased by 5.1 percent
(Minews) - Iran's crude steel production increased by 5.1 percent in February 2014, according to the World Steel Association (worldsteel) data.

Minenews: Iran produced 1.260 million tonnes crude steel in February 2014, an increase of 5.1 percent compared to 1.199 million tonnes in February 2013.

Iran's production in the first two months of 2014 was 2.401 million tonnes that showed an increase of 3.9 percent compared to the same period in last year.

Total crude steel production for 65 countries reporting to worldsteel was 124.990 million tonnes in February 2014, up by 0.6 percent on February 2013.

World crude steel production in the first two months of 2014 reached to 261.686 million tonnes, up by 1.6 percent on the same period in 2013.

65 countries reporting to worldsteel are accounting for 98 percent of global crude steel production.
