During its three-day stay, the Filipino delegation would ink an agreement with Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).

The delegation aims at making investment in Iran mining section and to receive first-hand account of trade opportunities in Iran in the post-sanctions era.

Regarding JCPOA reached on July 14, the current Philippines Secretary of Trade and Industry Gregory L. Domingo hoped that lifting of international sanctions would prepare suitable conditions for expansion of relations between Iran and the Philippines.
