Financial Tribune , 11 Jun 2015 0:33

(Minews) - Deputy minister of industry, mine and trade, Mehdi Karbasian, says the administration’s special plan to produce iron ore concentrate and iron ore pellets will end the export of unprocessed iron ore by March 20, 2017. Karbasian, who is also the head of Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization, added that new explorations will pave the way for more processing facilities as well as more employment in downstream industries in the steel sector, IRNA reported.

The deputy minister emphasized that thanks to the huge potential in the domestic mining sector, national economic development plans can focus on the mining sector for at least five decades. He also assured investors that there would be enough raw materials for safe investment in mineral processing facilities.
