Minews - Plunging gold production

(Minews) - The recent decline in gold production has reduced the export level of the precious metal, according to the head of Gold and Jewelry Producers and Exporters Union.

“The gold export market is not very lucrative now thanks to fluctuations of gold prices and a recent reduction in its production,” Ebadolah Mohammadvali said.

At the moment, there are no statistics on Iran’s gold exports; however, efforts are underway to collect data and compile a report on the issue, he added.
