The first consignment of bitumen exported from Lengeh Port

(Minews) - Director of Ports and Shipping Office of Lengeh Port said on Saturday that the first consignment of bitumen in current year was exported. The weight of the shipment was 3,100 tons.

Esmaeil Makizadeh told reporters that destination of the consignment was the United Arab Emirates.

He added that Iran is the largest producer and exporter of bitumen in the Middle East.

Makizadeh said countries like China, Thailand, Vietnam and India are among purchasers of Iran tar.

He explained the development activities of Lengeh Port in order to increase export of oil products.

Port city of Lengeh is located 240 kilometers southwest of Bandar Abbas, capital of Hormuzgan province.
