Iran's mineral exports down 24%
(Minews) - Mining sector export declined by 24 percent in the year to March 20, 2015 compared to the figure for the year earlier, said a report on Sunday.
The Ministry of Industries, Mines and Trade said in a report that more than 23.7 million tons of mineral products worth $1.5 billion were exported during the period.
It added that the export of mineral products amounted to more than 31.2 million tons in the 12 months to March 2014.
Iran is among the 15 major mineral-rich countries in the world and exports industrial and mineral products to more than a hundred countries.
