Rise in IMIDRO mines production
(Minews) -The extraction and processing of minerals in mines affiliated to the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO) experienced growth in the past Iranian calendar year (ended March 20), Eghtesadnews reported on Thursday.
During the 12-month period, mineral extractions in Mishdavan, Sangan, Sirjan, Mehdiabad, Central Alborz, Angooran, Muteh, and Jalalabad mines reached 16 million metric tons, indicating a 13% increase compared to the Iranian year 1392 (ended March 20, 2014).
The report added that during the period, the total processing of minerals in Central Alborz, Sangan, Esfordi, Kalibar, Pirbakran, Angooran, Sabzevar and Mehdiabad witnessed a 34% rise. Based on statistics provided by Bandar Abbas jetty complex, at least 5.6 million tons of minerals were loaded and unloaded in the year 1393, showing a 71% increase compared to the previous year.
