(Minews) - Managing Director of Alloy Steel Company of Iran said on Sunday that alloy steel production increased 8% over the past Iranian year (1393, ended on March 20, 2015), while the company's exports increased 12%.
Seyyed Ali Azarbadegan further told IRNA that the company produced 419,000 metric tons of raw steel during the said period.
He said that the alloy steel products are ranging from heatproof, tough surface, micro alloy, spring, cold steel, hot steel to ball bearings, stainless steel and industrial type.
Azarbadegan said that 355,000 tons of the Alloy Steel Company of Iran's products worth 7,800 billion rials was exported to various world markets last year, whose weigh was 20% greater compared with the previous year.
He said that the products are used in automobile and machinery industries, tool manufacturing, oil, gas and petrochemical industries, construction of rails, and construction of buildings.
