Iranian steel trade goes online

Financial Tribune , 9 Mar 2015 22:14

(Minews) - The online system to sell iron and steel products has been officially launched, enabling the retail consumers to buy products on prices usually below the market price, IRNA quoted the Samanehahan website manager, Abdolhossein Vafaei as saying.

According to Vafaei, the online store started as a pilot project three years ago and was officially inaugurated on Saturday. Customers across the country can pay the prices online and receive their orders within 24 hours at their doors. Different steel products for construction including rebars reinforcing bars, beams, and steel sheets are available on the website.

Foreign products, according to the report, will only be supplied if they are available in stock. The greatest advantage of the online store, as the founders claim, is the elimination of middlemen. The website also updates the visitors with online prices across the country.
