Asian delegation in Iran for investment in mining sector
(Minews) - A delegation of Asian companies is currently on a visit to Iran to go ahead with investment in Iran's mining sector.
The delegation includes representatives from The Philippines, Chinese and Indonesian companies, according to Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).
Iran, a country with rich mining resources, would provide a good base for investment in mining industries, head of the Asian delegation, Jose de Venecia, said.
He said that the investment companies would contribute to development of different Iranian mining projects including iron-ore, coal, coke, steel, nickel and aluminum.
He added that these companies are capable of investing some $400 million in Iran's mining sector.
