Iran’s iron ore exports hit $1.33 billion

Iran exported over USD 29 billion worth of non-oil commodities in the first nine months of the current Iranian calendar year, which began on March 21, despite the US-engineered sanctions against the country, PressTV reported.


(Minews) - According to the latest data released by the Iranian Customs Administration, Iran exported USD 29.24 billion worth of non-petroleum goods, including petrochemical products, during the nine-month period, marking an 11.8-percent rise in terms of weight from the previous year.

Petrochemical products accounted for more than USD 8 billion of the country's overall non-oil exports.

Iran also exported USD 6.363 billion of gas condensates and 14.761 billion worth of other goods during the same period.

Iron ore, methanol and urea were Iran's main exports respectively valued at USD 1.33 billion, USD 877 million and USD 866 million.

The non-oil exports weighed 65.999 million tons, which were mainly exported to China, Iraq, the United Arab Emirates, India and Afghanistan.

Iran exported over USD 21 billion worth of non-oil commodities in the seven months through October 21, indicating a 7.5- percent rise in weight year on year.

The non-oil exports weighed 49.325 million tons.
