Minews - Increased gold smuggling from Turkey and Dubai to Iran

(Minews) - Gold smuggling from Turkey and Dubai to Iran has been increased while smuggled metal has lower grade and quality, announced Ahmad Vafadar, member of Tehran Gold and Jewelry Association.

He added that produced gold in the country has higher quality and standard grade with Isfahan accounts for 60 percent of overall output and the remaining produce in Tehran and Tabriz.

Favadar warned that if the current practice of receiving value added tax continues, we will face with reduced employment, exports decline and increased smuggling.
