Mining exploration to expand in eastern part of Iran
(Minews) - IMIDRO Chairman, Mehdi Karbasian, announced mining exploration covering an area of 68,000 km2 was completed in eastern provinces of Khorasan Razavi, South Khorasan and Sistan and Baluchestan.

He expects that exploration activities in the area will exceed 100,000 km2 by the end of this Iranian year (March 20, 2015).

New mining exploration project in Iran to explore 200,000 km2 was began in January 2014.
It is set to explore iron ore deposits in eastern part of the country and then exploration activities will extend to south east part to be followed by exploration in other parts to the north west.

New mining exploration project aimed at discovering minerals reserves like iron ore, gold, coal, rare earth metals, copper and … to supply raw material for mine and mining sector in outlook to 2025.
