Iran may import bauxite from Kazakhstan

(Minews) - Iranian Mine, Industry and Trade Minister said to develop aluminum industry, we need to supply raw material through investment in Guinea and Central Asia.

In Central Asia countries like Kazakhstan, there are mines that Iran can make joint investment in them to supply raw materials needed for aluminum production, said Mohammad Reza Nematzadeh during signing contract of setting up biggest aluminum producer unit in Iran.

He also called for reviving an agreement signed 20 years ago to supply bauxite from Guinea’s mines.
