Iranian steel plants face 8.5 million tons of pellets shortfall
(Minews) – Iran has exported 23 million tons of iron ore last year and now face with 8.5 million tons of pellets shortfall, said Jafar Sargheini, mining deputy of Industry, Mines and Trade Ministry.

He indicated that if Iranian steel plants want to work with full capacity, they have to import 8.5 million tons of pellets.

Criticizing sell of unprocessed ores, Sergheini said production cycle in minerals is faulty and hasn’t value added.
