Iran's iron ore export fell 21% in first four months of this year

(Minews) - Iran's iron ore export volume fell 21.85 percent in first four months of current Iranian year (21 march-22 july) compared with the same period last year and reached to 5.203 million tons.

According to the customs data, iron ore hematite with a Fe grade of less than 40% valued at 349.7 million dollars in first four months of this year, 16.74 percent down compared with the same period last year.

Iran had exported 6.658 million tons of iron ore valued at 420 million dollars in first four months of last year.

During the period, iron ore accounted for 20 percent of total non oil export by weight and 3.2 percent by value. Iron ore is sixth major non oil export in Iran but excluding oil and gas product, would be top non oil export of the country.
